Fic: Merlin_muses - To Catch a Sparrow

merlin_muses I had a lot of fun writing it :D
The title comes from folklore that the sparrow is a herald of death and to catch one is to defeat death itself.
Pairing: Arthur/Merlin
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Though he was chosen as sorcerer for Camelot’s court when Arthur became king, Merlin can’t trust in his abilities. Shifting into animals has never been accomplished before, but Merlin sets out to prove his worth to the kingdom, knowing that no kingdom, however great, can last with a gap between the two most powerful people in the land.
Warnings: Mention of (mild) torture, very, very brief mention/suggestion of rape, death of minor character (opposing king).
Word Count: ~13,300
On a related note, AO3 beta looks really nice. It's all neat and looks lovely!
